Liljekonval (Convallaria majalis) er en 15-25 cm h\u00f8j urt, der vokser i skove og krat. <\/p>\n

Planten er meget giftig i alle dele, men de vellugtende blomster g\u00f8r den alligevel v\u00e6rd at dyrke.<\/p>\n

Beskrivelse<\/h2>\n

Liljekonval er en l\u00f8vf\u00e6ldende fler\u00e5rig urt med en lav v\u00e6kst. Bladene sidder kr\u00e6mmerhusagtigt<\/a> op ad den glatte, lysegr\u00f8nne st\u00e6ngel. <\/p>\n

De er glatte og ensartet friskgr\u00f8nne p\u00e5 begge sider, og de er ovale med hel rand<\/a>. Ribberne danner et bueformet m\u00f8nster i bladet.<\/p>\n

Blomstringen sker i maj, hvor en s\u00e6rlig st\u00e6ngel b\u00e6rer de snehvide, klokkeformede<\/a> blomster i en sk\u00e6v klase<\/a>. <\/p>\n

B\u00e6rrene er oranger\u00f8de og modner f\u00f8rst efter, at bladene er gulnede og ligger p\u00e5 jorden. Fr\u00f8ene modner godt og spirer villigt.<\/p>\n

Den underjordiske jordst\u00e6ngel forgrener sig og kryber langt omkring, s\u00e5 planten kan blive ukrudtsagtig. Rodnettet er i \u00f8vrigt fint tr\u00e6vlet.<\/p>\n

Giftighed<\/h3>\n

Liljekonvallens blade g\u00f8r, at den indimellem forveksles med ramsl\u00f8g. <\/p>\n

Dette kan medf\u00f8re forgiftning, idet sidstn\u00e6vnte er spiselig, mens f\u00f8rstn\u00e6vnte er st\u00e6rkt giftig.<\/p>\n
