Hedelyng (Calluna vulgaris) er en 15-75 cm h\u00f8j dv\u00e6rgbusk<\/a>, der vokser p\u00e5 heder og overdrev <\/a>og i skove og h\u00f8jmoser<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Planten er morr<\/a>– og aldannende<\/a>, endog p\u00e5 lerjord. Hedelyng er en v\u00e6rdifuld tr\u00e6kplante for honningbier.<\/p>\n

Beskrivelse<\/h2>\n

Hedelyng er en stedsegr\u00f8n dv\u00e6rgbusk med en opstigende og halvkugleagtig v\u00e6kstform. <\/p>\n

Barken er f\u00f8rst gr\u00f8n eller lysebrun med fine h\u00e5r.<\/p>\n

Senere bliver den brun med tynde striber, og til sidst er den gr\u00e5brun og skaller af i strimler.<\/p>\n

Knopperne sidder skjult under l\u00f8vbladene. Bladene er meget sm\u00e5, n\u00e5leformede, korsvis modsatte<\/a> og n\u00e6sten taglagte. <\/p>\n

Bladrandene<\/a> er indrullet opad. Randen er hel med fine h\u00e5r. Ved bladf\u00e6stet findes to spidse, nedadrettede sporer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Blomsterne sidder i et endestillet aks. De er klokkeformede med violetr\u00f8dt b\u00e6ger og krone. Duften er fin og krydret. <\/p>\n

Frugterne er kapsler med mange fr\u00f8, som spirer villigt p\u00e5 udpint og r\u00e5 jord.<\/p>\n

Rodnettet best\u00e5r af mange, h\u00f8jtliggende og meget seje hovedr\u00f8dder, der forgrener sig til et t\u00e6t rodfilt.<\/p>\n
