Almindelig \u00f8stershat (Pleurotus ostreatus) er en veddestruerende<\/a> svamp, som lever p\u00e5 l\u00f8vtr\u00e6er, ofte almindelig b\u00f8g, men ogs\u00e5 gerne p\u00e5 f.eks. Birk, lind og almindelig hestekastanje. <\/p>\n

Svampen efterlader et karakteristisk hvidmuld<\/a>, men ogs\u00e5 udefra kan man se, om et tr\u00e6 er angrebet. I s\u00e5 fald viser svampen sig nemlig som hvide huller i barken.<\/p>\n

Frugtlegemet er meget foranderligt b\u00e5de p\u00e5 over- og undersiden. <\/p>\n

Om sommeren kan hatten v\u00e6re helt hvid, lysegul, brun eller gr\u00e5brun, men om vinteren er den st\u00e5lbl\u00e5. Lamellerne er nedl\u00f8bende p\u00e5 stokken, af og til forbundne eller gaffeldelte og hvide eller gr\u00e5lige. <\/p>\n

Stokken er kort og b\u00e6rer hatten i siden eller ved randen. Frugtlegemerne optr\u00e6der for det meste i bundter med 20-30 hatte samlet, men man tr\u00e6ffer ogs\u00e5 enkeltsiddede frugtlegemer.<\/p>\n
