Vedbend (Hedera helix), ogs\u00e5 kaldet almindelig vedbend eller efeu, er en stedsegr\u00f8n lian, der vokser p\u00e5 muldbund i skove, krat og parker. <\/p>\n

V\u00e6kstformen er dels krybende, dels klatrende. Den klatrer ved hj\u00e6lp af s\u00e6rlige klatrer\u00f8dder p\u00e5 grenene. Hele planten, og ogs\u00e5 b\u00e6rrene, er giftig. <\/p>\n

Den kendes ogs\u00e5 under det tyske navn Efeu.<\/p>\n

Vedbend er v\u00e6rtsplante for skovbl\u00e5fugl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Beskrivelse<\/h2>\n

Barken er brun med et lidt r\u00f8dligt sk\u00e6r. Senere bliver den m\u00f8rkegr\u00e5. Knopper og skud er filth\u00e5rede. <\/p>\n

Knopperne er lysegr\u00f8nne. Bladene er spredte, 3-5 lappede og helrandede. Bladnerverne ses som tydelige, hvide streger.<\/p>\n

P\u00e5 blomstrende skud mangler lapperne. Her er bladene i stedet ovale og helrandede. Alle blade er m\u00f8rkegr\u00f8nne med en lysere underside.<\/p>\n

Blomsterne sidder samlet i kugleformede stande p\u00e5 s\u00e6rlige, oprette skud. Blomsterne er gulgr\u00f8nne og ses i oktober-november. <\/p>\n

Frugterne er bl\u00e5sorte b\u00e6r, der modner hen p\u00e5 for\u00e5ret, n\u00e6ste \u00e5r.<\/p>\n
