Selvom den moderne gris i dag ser anderledes ud end sit vilde ophav, b\u00e6rer den stadig mange af de samme egenskaber, som den ville bruge aktivt, hvis den fik mulighed for det.<\/p>\n

Tamme grise og vildsvin ligner hinanden, men med tiden har de tamme grise tabt pelslaget, og s\u00e5 er soen blevet meget st\u00f8rre. <\/p>\n

Men de behov, som tamgrisen har i dag, ligner dem, som vildsvinet havde, og som det stadig har. I det hele taget ville grisen v\u00e6re rigtig god til at v\u00e6re gris, hvis bare den fik lov. <\/p>\n

Unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at grise har bibeholdt deres grundl\u00e6ggende adf\u00e6rdsm\u00f8nstre, <\/p>\n

selv n\u00e5r de slippes ud i det fri efter at have levet i en stald. P\u00e5 trods af menneskelig avl og indesp\u00e6rring gennem \u00e5rhundreder viser grise alts\u00e5 stadig deres naturlige instinktive adf\u00e6rd.<\/p>\n

Det vigtigste v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j<\/h2>\n

Et af de mest fremtr\u00e6dende tr\u00e6k ved grise er deres nysgerrige natur. <\/p>\n

Grisen er nysgerrig for at kunne orientere sig om sine omgivelser og finde f\u00f8de. Og her f\u00e5r formuleringen \u201dat f\u00f8lge sin n\u00e6se\u201d en ny betydning. <\/p>\n

Grisens tryne er nemlig ikke kun et organ, den bruger til at snuse med. Det er ogs\u00e5 et redskab, den bruger til at udforske og unders\u00f8ge sin omverden. <\/p>\n

Grise, som g\u00e5r fri, bruger mellem seks til otte timer om dagen p\u00e5 at rode i jorden med trynen. Denne adf\u00e6rd kaldes for rodeadf\u00e6rd og er helt afg\u00f8rende for et godt griseliv. <\/p>\n

Grise finder ikke blot mad, n\u00e5r de roder; de f\u00e5r ogs\u00e5 vigtig information om deres omgivelser, som de bruger til at indrette sig.<\/p>\n
