Stor k\u00e5lsommerfugl (Pieris brassicae) er en sommerfugl i hvidvingefamilien. Den er udbredt i store dele af Europa og Asien. <\/p>\n

Sommerfuglen lever i dag overalt i det dyrkede land, men ses oftest i haver, hvor der ikke bruges bek\u00e6mpelsesmidler. <\/p>\n

Den kan v\u00e6re meget skadelig i haver og gartnerier, fordi dens larve spiser alle slags k\u00e5l og efterlader k\u00e5lplanterne som afpillede skeletter, kun med ribberne tilbage.<\/p>\n

Forekomst i Danmark<\/h2>\n

Arten er almindelig overalt i Danmark. <\/p>\n

Sommerfuglens hyppighed svinger meget hen over sommeren, det kan skyldes den lille snyltehveps Apanteles glomeratus, der kan inficere op til 90 % af k\u00e5lsommerfuglens larver. <\/p>\n

Sommerfuglens overvintrende pupper d\u00f8r hvis temperaturen bliver lavere end -22 grader, s\u00e5 en streng vinter kan bidrage til, at f\u00e6rre k\u00e5lsommerfugle ses sommeren efter.<\/p>\n
