Citronsommerfuglen (Gonepteryx rhamni) er en sommerfugl i hvidvingefamilien. Arten er vidt udbredt i Europa og gennem Asien til Syrien og Sibirien.<\/p>\n

Det er \u00e5rets tidligste dagsommerfugl i Danmark. Den voksne sommerfugl kommer frem fra vinterdvalen allerede i starten af marts. <\/p>\n

Citronsommerfuglen holder til hvor dens v\u00e6rtsplanter t\u00f8rst og vrietorn findes, dvs. i fugtige blandingsskove, krat og haver med t\u00f8rstetr\u00e6er.<\/p>\n

Den voksne sommerfugl er dog en god flyver og kan derfor ses mange andre steder ogs\u00e5. Citronsommerfuglen er almindelig i hele Danmark.<\/p>\n

Udseende<\/h2>\n

Citronsommerfuglen er ikke til at tage fejl af. <\/p>\n

Hannen er str\u00e5lende gul, mens hunnen er mere d\u00e6mpet gr\u00f8nhvid. P\u00e5 vingernes undersider findes to orange midtpletter, og forvingerne har herudover en karakteristisk spids. <\/p>\n

Der er ikke meget variation i udseendet mellem forskellige individer, og sommerfuglens vingefang er mellem 51\u201360 mm.<\/p>\n
